A canal boat trip
A canal boat trip is probably the most enjoyable and exciting way to see St Petersburg. You will see stunning architecture and get a sense of city's elegance as you travel by boat through numerous canals and rivers. Sites we can see are the Hermitage Museum; the grand Winter Palace, the residence of Russian Tsars; Peter and Paul's Fortress, the birthplace of St Petersburg; the magnificent Cathedral of Our Savior on Spilled Blood; the Summer Garden and House of Peter The Great.
The tour is approximately an hour long. The boat allows for inside and outside viewing. You may book this tour as part of a group, or opt for a private tour. You may add this tour to part of a day, if you wish.

If you are tired of seeing numerous museums, cathedrals and monuments then we suggest our "Open Air Tour". We will walk among the local people and get a sense of modern St Petersburg and daily life.
We will walk down Nevsky Prospect, the central avenue of St Petersburg, and enjoy such famous sites as the State National Library, a monument to Catherine the Great; the Alexandrinsky Theater; the Imperial Porcelain Factory; Anichkov Bridge; Gostinney Dvor- the oldest St Petersburg department store; and many other interesting sites.
Then we will visit probably the most famous food store in the city - Eleseyev Grocery Store - in a magnificent art nouveau building. Piano music, the smell of hot coffee and baking, the beautiful sight of red and black caviar, will give you a sense of Russian bourgeois atmosphere of the 20th century. We will also visit one of the local farmer’s markets, where you will have an opportunity to buy some fresh local vegetables, fruits or chocolate, and try Russian honey.
During this trip we will pass one of the preferred places of worship for St. Petersburg citizens: the Cathedral of Our Lady of Vladimir (Vladimirsky Cathedral). Although it is optional, we usually have a short stop here to let you visit and see a traditional Russian Orthodox place of worship.
During the tour we may also use public transport, such as a trolley bus and metro (subway). St. Petersburg metro will impress you. Each station is like a museum- architecturally unique, spectacular, and over the top ornate, in the Stalinist style! It is sometimes referred to as Underground Palace, or the Palace for the People.
We believe our "Open Air Tour" is an unequaled experience and one that you will remember fondly.
