Top Tour

Would you like to spend 4 fantastic days in St. Petersburg and become a connoisseur of the city? Are you one of those experts who would like to experience as much of St. Petersburg as it is possible? If you are, then welcome a board of K JOY Travel! This tour is tailored just for you!

The tour will let you visit all those attractions that should not be missed in St. Petersburg and many distinguished and beautiful sites, steeped in history and culture that are not covered by traditional 2-3 day tours.

At the same time the tour is not too busy and overwhelming. It will give you enough of time to enjoy the attractions of St. Petersburg and to have pleasant conversation with your guide and fellow travelers during a leisurely lunch between sightseeing stops!

Firstly, you will take an exciting extensive sightseeing city tour, which will let you learn a lot of the history of foundation of St. Petersburg and its hero Peter the Great. You will visit the city’s birthplace - Peter and Paul’s Fortress and Peter and Pauls’ Cathedral within its territory - the last resting place of the Romanovs, including Tsar Nicholas II and his family.

You will find out about European influence over Russia and especially St. Petersburg and you will visit probably the most European cathedral in the country - the majestic St. Isaac’s cathedral, so impressive with its gigantic one-piece granite columns; each of them weighs more than 100 tons

You will learn what is Russian-style church like, while visiting a spectacular, bright enamel, onion-domed Cathedral of Our Savior On Spilled Blood -  an ornate old Russian style church, covered in inlaid mosaic.

At the conclusion of the first day and our extensive sightseeing tour we will visit the most controversial museum in St. Petersburg - Yusupov Palace! Initially belonged to the Russian elite and wealthiest dynasty - the Yusupovs. However, the main draw of the palace is an intricate story of a “spiritual mentor” and a close friend of the last Russian Tsar Nicolas II and his wife Alexandra - a Siberian peasant, Gregory Rasputin. The palace is most notorious as the site of Gregory Rasputin’s murder! During this excursion you will hear first hand how the plot was hatched to kill Rasputin - by the last owner of the palace - Prince Felix Yusupov, and the bizarre manner in which it was carried out! Indeed, the assassination of “the mad monk of Russia” is still as shocking and hair raising an event today, as it was when it shocked the country a hundred years ago!  You will not be disappointed – that is our guarantee!

Two days of our 4 day tour of St. Petersburg we will spend walking through the Tsars summer residences. We will admire marine landscapes of the amazing Fountain park and a Grand Summer Palace in Peterhof, lying ashore the Gulf of Finland. Beside the museums you will also see some old areas in the country side with our famous datchas! We will also throw in a delightful speed hydrofoil boat ride for you, which will allow you to experience some modern residential areas of St. Petersburg from the water!

You will take a metro (subway) ride that will reveal the unexpected. Being conceived as a Palace for the People by the Soviet government, St. Petersburg Metro will impress you! St. Petersburg subway stations resemble the state  rooms of a royal palace, opulent with marble, chandeliers and sculptures! You will never see such deep and ostentatious metro stations anywhere else!

This fantastic 4 day tour will let you see all the most famous and beautiful sights and attractions of the city as well as many places of interest you can’t find in a guide book.
