As a cruise ship passenger, you will not need a visa. K Joy Travel will handle any of the required paperwork. We provide our customers with "Blanket Visas" which permit travellers to participate in a supervised tour. If you wish to tour independently, you will need to apply for a Russian Visa.
The requirements for cruise ship passengers are:
- Every cruise ship passenger must have a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of the cruise
- We recommend that you make a copy of your passport to bring with you on the shore excursion
- Blanket visa
- If you have multiple citizenship status, please make sure to bring the same passport you sent to us for your visa information
At Russian Passport Control you will need:
- your blanket visa
- your passport
- Russian immigration form that is given at the passport control
Without any one of these items, they will deny you entry. When you disembark, you will go through an immigration hall where the agent will very carefully check over your documents, stamp your passport, and keep one half of the immigration form. They will return to you your passport, blanket visa, and the other half of the immigration form. After your first day's tour, you will again go through immigration, giving the agent your passport and the other half of the immigration form. The agent will again stamp your passport and keep the other half of the form.
The next day, when you disembark, you will need your passport and your tour ticket - no more immigration forms. They will look for the two passport stamps, review the ticket, and send you on your way.
To arrange visa-free disembarkation, we will need to receive the following information:
- Full names, exactly as they appear in passports, of all guests
- Dates of birth
- Passport numbers
- Name of cruise ship
- Dates visiting Russia
- Your passport expiry date
